Aims and Objectives


Richmond Foundation aims to help persons with mental health problems by:

  • providing residential and day, community-based rehabilitation facilities;
  • providing opportunities for housing, with support;
  • assisting them to remain in the community and to live as full a life as possible;
  • providing opportunities for training, employment and support at the work-place
  • providing services which will prevent mental health problems in the work-place from developing;
  • promoting the development of self-help in the field of mental health;
  • assisting in the promotion of good mental health within the general public/population;
  • promoting positive public awareness of mental health issues;
  • providing training to staff within the organisation and also assist in the training of other professionals from other agencies in the mental health and other caring fields.

 

Board of Trustees

Richmond Foundation is governed by a Board of Trustees composed of twelve members: 3 members nominated by Richmond Fellowship International, 3 members are appointed by the Maltese Government and 6 members are elected through the AGM. One of the six members has to be either a mental health service user, or a family member.
