Healthy Mind for Healthy Business (ESF 3.193) – Introduction
Mental Health at the Workplace
Mental health, as described by WHO, is a state of well-being in which the individual realises his/her abilities, can cope with the normal stresses of life, can work productively and fruitfully, and is able to make a contribution to his/her community.
Mental health at the workplace is an essential prerequisite for employee well-being and personal development, employer-employee relationships, as well as the success of the business itself. Hence, the project Healthy Mind for Healthy Business ESF 3.193 aims at providing tools to support employers and workers in leading positions to develop and implement a mental health policy at work, thus encouraging employees to talk freely about their difficulties and address them.
