Richmond Foundation was founded in 1993 and is a non-governmental and non-profit making organisation.

The Deed of Constitution was signed by the Governmental of Malta (Ministry for Social Development) and Richmond Fellowship International (UK). Richmond Foundation is registered as an autonomous Maltese charity.
