Appeal for Volunteers
Richmond Foundation is launching an appeal for volunteers to help in the running of its services to persons with mental health difficulties. Volunteers are needed to assist persons attending the residential and day programmes, in learning activities of daily living, such as cooking and cleaning, and in accompanying them on hospital or work appointments. Volunteers could also assist in co-facilitating groups, such as those teaching 'Social Skills', 'Problem-Solving' and 'Hygiene and Grooming', amongst others. Other activities which require volunteers include, being part of the fund-raising committee, clerical duties, gardening and maintenance work.
