Fundraise for Richmond

Every year, we are overwhelmed with the incredible support we receive from so many individuals, organisations and businesses. With your help, we are able to offer immediate mental health support to anyone who needs it, and we are able to continue increasing the education on mental wellbeing in Malta.

Join us in making a difference! By creating your own fundraiser, you are not only helping us keep up with the demand for support; you are also spreading the message that it’s okay to talk about mental health, and it’s okay to seek help.

We mean it when we say that every contribution makes a difference.

€50
Pay it forward with the Gift of Therapy.

Sometimes, someone might need more help to better understand and learn how to take care of themselves. You can help us offer free mental health support to anyone who cannot afford it.

€100
Help us run a free support group.

We hold numerous support groups, both online and in-person, for people who would like to talk about their experience and learn from others. You can help us provide a safe space for others to share what they are experiencing and find peer support.

€200
Provide one year’s supply of material for activities for a unit

Leisure and fun is an essential part of rehabilitation. With your contribution, you would be helping to provide a whole year’s worth of material and stationery for one unit required to carry out activities with our service-users, including cultural days, birthday parties and self-care sessions.

€500
Sponsor one whole day of having a team available 24/7.

Living in the community and struggling with a mental illness is not easy. Our residences provide emotional, psychological and practical help to our service-users day and night. With your contribution, you are helping us provide constant professional support in helping someone lead a good quality of life.

€1000
Sponsor one grocery shop.

With eight residences providing 24/7 support to more than 144 service-users, costs run high. You can help provide one month’s worth of groceries to any residence. Want to learn more about our residential units? Click here

What is not a suitable fundraising initiative?

As Richmond, we truly believe in being transparent in our work and in the way we receive funding. For this reason, we do not accept any donations generated from income relating to activities which are harmful to our mental wellbeing, such as drinking, smoking or gambling. Contact us on fundraising@richmond.org.mt if you would like to discuss your ideas.

Naming and promoting your event

As a supporter of Richmond, you have access to a fundraising kit with social media material you can use and share. Our Fundraising Coordinator will provide the Richmond logo along with our guidelines for you to use in online or print promotional material. Remember that Richmond must approve all promotional material produced prior to distribution.

When naming your event, it’s important to promote that you are supporting Richmond and not ‘partnering with’ or ‘teaming up with’ Richmond. If you have any questions around naming your event, email us on fundraising@richmond.org.mt.

For logo, social media posts and guideline requests, approval of promotional material, or any questions related to naming and promoting your event, contact the Fundraising team on 21669150 or send an email to the address above.

Tips for fundraising

  1. Share your story

If this is something you are comfortable with, sharing your motivation behind getting involved can help send the message that it’s okay to talk about mental health. It’s very important to note that if someone’s story inspired you to take action, you get their consent prior to talking about their experience.

  1. Involve others

Include your friends in the fun, and come up with ways you can all get active.

  1. Share the progress

Posting updates will help keep your donors and friends interested in what you’ve managed to accomplish.

  1. Say thank you

Nothing is more important than saying thank you. The people who donated to your cause will really appreciate even a simple note with the total collected.
