The Systemic Therapist will be responsible for providing high-quality therapy to individuals and families, focusing on a wide range of mental health concerns, including anxiety, stress, grief, trauma, addictions, relational issues, and behavioural challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct individual and group therapy sessions for clients dealing with complex issues and mental health conditions.
- Provide therapeutic support to clients managing various presenting issues.
- Employ a trauma-focused approach to therapy, with an emphasis on healing recovery.
- Work with families and couples to support relationship dynamics and overall wellbeing.
- Keep accurate and confidential client records in accordance with organisational policies and ethical guidelines.
Requirements:
- A Master’s degree in Systemic Psychotherapy.
- Experience working with complex clients and chronic mental health conditions.
- Preference will be given to candidates who already hold a warrant to practice.
- A trauma-focused approach and experience in addiction treatment is highly preferred.
- Experience in family or couples therapy is an advantage.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Maltese and English.
- Responsive, highly organised, able to work well in a team, and possess sound moral values.
- Passionate about making a positive impact in the mental health sector and working with an NGO.
