Thank you Dr Andrea Agius

Dentist Dr Andrea Agius from Agius Dental Clinic in Balzan has kindly offered to safeguard the oral health of the children at K.I.Ds at no charge.

Teaching the children in our care how to take care of their oral health is something that is very much close to our heart. Various studies suggest that the development of caries in primary teeth further increases the risk of developing caries in permanent teeth, which then eventually leads to tooth decay and cavities (Lewis et al., 2000).

For this reason, it is of crucial importance to establish a proper oral hygiene routine early in life to help ensure the development of strong and healthy teeth. Our professionals, as consistent role models, are key for setting a daily routine and to making the children understand the importance of oral hygiene. Toothbrushing, for instance, is presented as a habit and an integral part of the daily hygiene routine.

Richmond Foundation is ever so grateful for the services of Dr Andrea Agius. Such assistance enables us to continue providing the best possible care for the children at K.I.Ds.
